Dive Control Management course description
For more information on the Dive Control Management course, read the description below.
This is the Dive Control Management specialty course at Social Diving. 😃
Dive Control Management means organizing, managing, and leading dives in groups of two or more people. If you have ever been on a dive with a group you will know how difficult this can be.
We help you with techniques, tools, and training so that you can master this challenge. Although this is not equivalent to a Dive Leader course, it is a prerequisite for it.
The course covers the following topics:
- Introduction to dive-control management
- Dive planning
- Communication & decision making
- Safety guidelines
- Conducting briefings
- Writing diving lists
Each course module will make you a dive control specialist and help you become a better diver. Let’s look at each module and what it covers.
Safety Guidelines
Diving in groups is super fun but challenging for the ones organizing them.
Trust us, we know. We regularly organize group events, dive trips, and dive excursions for many divers at once. We will help you make smart decisions so that you can enjoy your dives without “Murphy’s Law” striking.
If you are planning on becoming a dive guide abroad, this is great preparation and a prerequisite for your Dive Leader Professional course.
Dive Planning
Plan your dive, dive the plan.
You have heard this before and it is very true in regard to diving in groups. Dive control management helps you organize your diving adventures better and avoid bad surprises or even accidents.
Using digital aids and tools has become very important for scuba divers and we will show you how to use cool tools like Trello and others to optimize your dive group organization.
Dive Control Management
It’s time to dive! There are course options for 2 or 4 dives to complete your group leader training.
If you already have your Advanced Open Water Diver certification and took the group-leading dives, they count towards your specialty certification.
Once you passed all the course modules and the theory test, you will receive your Dive Control Management specialty certification!
Congratulations!
Your dive instructor evaluates your skills during and after the course. Once you passed all the course modules, diving practice, and theory tests, you will become a certified Dive Control Management!
Congratulations!
