The “Rescue Diver” is also called the Stress & Rescue specialty course and teaches you exactly that:
How to deal with stress, fear, and anxiety underwater and how to conduct scuba diving rescue.
The Rescue Diver, also called the Stress & Rescue specialty is often seen as the completion of the basic dive training every scuba diver should receive.
“The best course of my life” is almost always the initial response of our students. It teaches you everything you need to know to manage diving accidents.
From helping divers underwater to initiating first aid measures, you should have learned to:
- Bring divers to the surface & to shore after accidents
- Handling panicking divers underwater & at the surface
- Diving first aid measures
- Rescue chain & emergency management
- Scenario training with real-world examples
Besides extensive practice drills and routines, you will get to apply your rescue management skills in a number of scenarios based on actual cases. This is the highlight of the course and a great but rewarding challenge.
For those who are interested, we offer an extended Rescue Diver online course that goes into even more details on first aid measures & techniques, and also covers the Medical Assistant and Oxygen Provider course.
Your dive instructor evaluates your skills during and after the course. Once you passed all the course modules, diving practice, and theory tests, you will become a certified Rescue Diver!
