Guest Post Guidelines
We love and encourage contributions from writers, professionals, experts, and our community. We receive quite a few requests for guest post opportunities, so here are a few guidelines for guest post submissions on Social Diving.
If you would like to submit a guest post to this blog, follow the instructions below for consideration. Only guest posts that meet these criteria will be considered for publishing.
- The post must be useful to the readers of this site.
- The post must be grammatically correct.
- The post must include at least one high-quality featured image that may be used by Social Diving for commercial use and free of attribution.
- The post must not include marketing-related links (unless previously agreed upon by us) and must not be entirely self-promotional.
- The post may include links to your website and blog in a brief author's bio (approximately 3 sentences), which will be published at the end of the guest post.
- Guest posts must be original and may not have been published elsewhere online already. All submissions will be verified for originality using software tools, as well as manual verification by one of our editors.
Guest posts that are approved for publishing may be published without notice. Please check https://www.social-diving.com periodically to see if your post has been published.
Topic
Choose a topic that you really care about, know well and that will interest our readers.
As a general rule, we favor authenticity over optimization and creativity over keyword targeting. This means that we are not just looking to rank well in search engines, but to give our readers something that makes them want to come back to our content.
Be unique, creative, and authentic and you will have a much better chance of being featured.
Length
We don't have a set length for the content we publish on our site. As a reference, check our past articles and content. In general, a minimum word count of around 500 makes sense for most types of guest posts, but most successful posts are between 800 - 2000 words long. At the same time, don't make the guest post longer than necessary so it becomes unreadable.
Remember: The more you have to tell the audience, the more they will like, share and recommend it to others.
Video content should be at least 5 minutes long!
Language
We post content in different languages on https://www.social-diving.com. All guest post submissions must be in English.
Translated versions in German, Spanish, and other languages featured on our sites are appreciated and increase the chance of being featured on our site.
Link Building
We do not allow guest post submissions for the sole purpose of link building! This includes any promotional links, low-quality links, and other “blackhat” SEO link-building techniques.
We may agree to allow sponsored links to certain guest post authors in their submissions. The maximum number of promotional or sponsored links is 1 for posts under 500 words, 2 for content under 1,000 words, and 3 for any post above 1,000 words.
Exceptions are affiliate links you provide to Social Diving to your products and services. However, remember to keep your content natural and refrain from purely promotional content.
Affiliate Links
We may place our personal affiliate links in your guest post, as we see fit.
Content Rights
By submitting a guest post or other type of content (video or photo), you agree that we may publish it to any of our sites in any way we see fit. This may include paid promotion for our site, as well as making it part of our own posts on other media (especially video or training materials).
Your thereby grant Social Diving the universal rights to your submitted content for commercial use without attribution.
Image & Video Quality
Each guest post must include at least 1 high-quality (at least HD-quality) image that may be used as a featured image of the post, as well as 1 more image or video (at least HD-quality) to be placed in the post.
You are responsible for ensuring you pass the appropriate content rights to us in order to use the asset.
Sharing & Outreach
Once your post has been published, we encourage you to share it with your friends, customers, and anyone else via email, your website/s, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and any other social media you might use.
The more people who view your post, the better is it for you. If your post performs extremely well and you become a regular contributor (one post a week), you can earn a spot as a highly-coveted “Team Member” on our team page.
Editorial Changes
Once your post has been published, we encourage you to share it with your friends, customers, and anyone else via email, your website/s, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, and any other social media you might use.
By submitting to Social Diving you acknowledge that you accept our terms & conditions and any form of editing that might occur on behalf of the Social Diving editorial team.
