For more information on the Drysuit Diver course, read the description below.
This is the Drysuit Diver specialty course at Social Diving. 😃
If you plan on diving in the winter, under ice, or in cold water, becoming a drysuit diver is necessary.
We at Social Diving know cold water in and out and are the best place to learn to use a drysuit.
Just think about it…no more cold feet or frozen fingers…diving under ice and exploring mountain lakes. In short: It’s amazing. The course covers the following topics:
- Introduction to drysuit diving
- Types of drysuits
- Maintenance and care
- Safety guidelines
- Choosing the best drysuit for your needs
Each course module helps you become a better drysuit diver. Let’s look at each module and what it covers.
Pick the Best Drysuit
What’s the difference between a drysuit and a wetsuit?
And what does trilaminate and crushed neoprene mean? We will explain it all to you!
The different types suit different people and styles of diving and after finishing the course, you will be able to select the one that fits you best. If you need help picking out a good drysuit, read our articles or contact us!
Maintenance, Care & Safety
A drysuit is a great investment for every serious diver, however, it requires regular maintenance and care to keep it from breaking.
We will show you how to handle your suit so that it will last you for a long time. Among other topics, we show you:
- Drying your suit after diving
- Caring for cuffs & handles
- Safety guidelines
- Storing your drysuit
Drysuit Diving in Practice
It’s time to dive! There are course options for 2 or 4 dives to complete your drysuit dive training.
After these dives, you will know how to handle the suit and go diving with it safely. If you want to practice more, you can book more dives and join our Social Diving Club and find a dive buddy!
Once you passed all the course modules and the theory test, you will receive your Drysuit Diver specialty certification!
Congratulations!
Never get cold while diving again!
