Aqualung i300c review

The Aqualung i300c is one of the midrange dive computer offerings of Aqualung and aimed mainly at the beginner market.
You get all the great features of the higher-end models like the i450t but at a lower price tag.

The Aqualung i300c is easy to use for beginners and allows for gas switches and entry-level decompression dives (just like all other Aqualung dive computers).
I have used it as a rental dive computer plenty of times and do like it a lot for that. Priced just below $400, the Aqualung i300c is a good bang for your buck and will last forever. Just don’t hope for a wristwatch replacement or to win any beauty contests with it.

Alright, alright…it doesn’t look pretty. Actually, it looks rather limited…BUT it works like a charm, has tons of features, and works incredibly reliably.

The display is non-intrusive so that students don’t get distracted by it during a dive and instead concentrate on their surroundings.

The ascent and safety stop alerts are clear and predictable.

I also feel the menu navigation is somewhat unintuitive and due to the lack of a color display, it can get hard to find your way around. Also the screen is rather small for such a large unit and it just makes the entire thing feel slightly oversized.

The Aqualung i300c is a great budget computer and will serve you well on all your dives.
